Explore Panama and Bask in its Many Natural Wonders through a Cruisae to Panama

The deep blue sea, the sea breeze gently blowing against your face, the smell of the sea air and you standing on a cruise ship vividly imagining a whole new world to explore.

Panama, a country bursting with wildlife, mountains, beaches, historical sites and beautiful architectural buildings are waiting to be explored. Panama is located in Central America with coastlines on both the Caribbean Sea and North Pacific Ocean. Located on the isthmus is a land bridge connecting North and South America. One of the most popular shipping routes in the world is through the Panama Canal. Main features and must–see places are seen traveling along the Panama Canal.

After 90 years of its completion, the Panama Canal has been considered as one of the engineering most treasure of the world because of the man-made Panama Canal. Also, it has become one of the greatest tributes to a good old–fashioned Yankee artistry that the world has ever seen. Panama Canal is a man–made waterway that connects the Pacific oceans to the Atlantic oceans. It was designed to lessen travel time for those needing to cross between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Three sets of lock are along the canal’s path. These locks act as elevators allowing vessels to go up or down across the canal terrain.

Due to its 80 kilometer length and width, the Panama Canal can accommodate many vessels, including Panama cruise ships. The Panama Canal has become a major attraction for cruise–ship passengers. It reveals wondrous and most awe–inspiring buildings that engineers have constructed.

A wide variety of tour selections is available for travel along this beautiful, mystical place in Panama. Many cruise lines offer Panama Cruises that provides different itineraries for individual travelers. Before, the Florida–West Coast routes were the only offered standard itinerary. It’s a 14–day cruise departing from Florida heading to the West Coast, with sojourning travels to the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico.

Hoping for more travelers to come to the sea, cruise lines have offered a change of variety to more and appealing adventures for cruise travelers. Cruise lengths have been extended from 7–16 days. Some may even last for more than 16 days but no more than 21 days. Based on the itinerary chosen, you’ll have the chance to see different places including neighboring countries like Costa Rica, Mexico, and even the Caribbean.

The best time to go on a Panama cruise starts from October to April
or after the rainy season ends (usually in November). Most of the
major lines offer Panama Canal sailing, whereas, smaller ones does
not offer sailing.

A major decision to make is to either choose the traditional “Transcanal” experience or the “Partial Crossings”.

The Transcanal trip allows a cruise traveler to engage on a day activity on the Canal pathway. On the other hand, Partial Crossing does not intersect through the entire Canal but crosses one lock to another dropping off passengers on town ports.

Gamboa or Colon, towns where passengers are dropped off, is the beginning of the most intriguing and fascinating excursions ever experienced. Other places include mountains, exotic wildlife and beaches. Beaches with beautiful corral reefs allow deep–sea fishing as well. Traveling along the Pacific Canal, a full view of all architectural building is visible. These buildings are breathtaking and inspirational.

Because of the variety offered, Panama Cruise has become the top most sought out vacation by many Americans. Through its wonders and marveled places, Panama is a vibrant and extremely genuine destination that the world has truly encountered. From one–way to round–trip cruises, Panama is definitely worth exploring.
